Inorganic Chemist Jobs description
An inorganic chemist analyzes inorganic compounds utilizing chromatography, spectroscopy, and spectrophotometer techniques to determine chemical and physical properties, composition, structure, relationships, and reactions. An inorganic chemist develops, improves, and customizes products, equipment, formulas, processes, and analytical methods. An inorganic chemist studies the effects of various methods of processing, preserving, and packaging on the composition and properties of foods. An inorganic chemist compiles and analyzes test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiency and to diagnose malfunctions. An inorganic chemist confers with scientists and engineers to conduct analyses of research projects, interpret test results, and develop nonstandard tests. An inorganic chemist prepares test solutions, compounds, and reagents for other laboratory personnel. An inorganic chemist directs, coordinates, and advises personnel on test procedures for analyzing the components and physical properties of materials. An inorganic chemist writes technical papers and reports and prepares standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests.An inorganic chemist job requires a BS in chemistry with analytical laboratory experience in the inorganic area. An inorganic chemist should have experience in operating various pieces of equipment such as AA, ICP, and mercury analyzers. An inorganic chemist should have the ability to work with chemicals. An inorganic chemist should be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are likewise required.
