Position Description:

• Help oversee the development, deployment, and management of long-range forecasting models across the Innovative Medicines portfolio (in-line and pipeline assets)• Serve as the key point of contact/strategic partner for multiple therapeutic Brand Leads (Executive Directors/Vice Presidents) across a wide range of asset/portfolio issues• Lead the development and/or embedding of innovative new forecasting tools and capabilities to prioritized markets around the world• Responsible for the development, deployment, and management of proprietary Predictive Analytical techniques to support the planning/forecasting of pipeline assetsResponsibilities• Accountable for generating, presenting, defending and maintaining forecasts of products and markets with a high degree of precision and insight• Independently leads matrix teams in the development of objective, strategic, event-based product/market forecast models for in-market and pipeline assets• Effectively collaborates with a broad set of business counterparts (including Marketing Research, Analytics, Marketing, Pricing & Reimbursement, Strategic Options & Analysis, Demand planning, GPS and Business Development) to plan and execute accurate revenue and volume forecasts• Selects appropriate forecasting approaches and forecast models to address specific business questions• Identifies, gathers, and rigorously analyzes information to generate a deeper understanding of customers, brands, diseases, markets, and competitive environments• Maintains data integrity and consistency within disease areas and across brands• Conducts retrospective analyses & enables organizational learning leading to performance improvement• Help support the valuation of potential in-licensing/business development opportunities• Work closely with the analytic teams across markets to appropriately transition early, long-range forecasting models over to more granular launch forecasting models (T-24)

Requirements

• 5 Years minimum working experience in the pharmaceutical industry• 3 Years experience pharmaceutical brand forecasting• Extensive knowledge of secondary research methodologies and models (can identify strengths & weaknesses of each)• Must possess strong leadership skills and be able to communicate clearly with a wide range of constituents, across multiple geographies• Must have the strength to speak out against the status quo, and be able to search out new ways to improve the way in which the organization operates• Can effectively build long-term, strategic relationships with customers both within and outside of the organization• Proven track record of helping to reduce risk around forecast accuracy & product development initiatives by providing objectivity and good judgment
