Description
The Director of Product Management for Clinical Pharmacy Products develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhance existing products or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into marketable products. This role provides strategic advice and guidance to cross-functional team(s). Highly skilled with broad, advanced product experience and business acumen.
Responsibilities
As the Director of Product Management for Clinical Pharmacy Products, you will be responsible for defining and leading the execution of Humana's Pharmacy-based product strategies, product management and product roadmaps. Working closely with the Associate Vice President of Pharmacy Product Management, you will drive the development of strategic, high-performing transformational clinical products with an opportunity to lead and develop a product team in the future.
In this role, you will be responsible for surveying pharmacy market needs and engaging with customers to understand relevant trends and identify product gaps. You will design and lead feasibility studies define product requirements and forge strategic partnerships with external organizations. Decisions are typically related to identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within department(s), and could lead multiple managers or highly specialized professional associates. Key Responsibilities
Accountable for strategic product planning and establishing a shared vision for product portfolio.
Makes decisions on all aspects of the assigned products including managing the full end-to-end product lifecycle, user and buyer experiences, development, commercialization and for ensuring the investment and performance are consistent with customer needs.
Responsible for the end-to-end member journey experience for identified products, defining requirements to drive improved customer experience and outcomes based on external inputs (e.g. regulatory changes, member needs, market innovation, etc.).
In collaboration with other product and clinical leaders, accountable for defining and leading the execution of roadmap for a unified customer experience across our applications and services.
Partners closely with operations, vendors, customer success teams and/or enterprise teams, to drive the development of products, including test and learns, that deliver clinical, experiential and financial outcomes.
Build and manage a high-performing team to provide Humana with product performance, reduced trend and growth.
Serve as the focal point for leadership with internal partners making key strategic product and positioning decisions.
Accountable for budget, scope, prioritization and execution for the assigned product lines.
Validates new market opportunities, assesses client needs/willingness to pay and builds ROI-driven business plans.
Collaborates with other product leaders to seek new opportunities to monetize our distinctive competence.
Define and create reporting packages that will inform the success of products. Responsible for reporting on product and client-level outcomes: uptake, consumer engagement, clinical impact.
Develop, manage and report out on product level P&L (profit and loss) statements
Responsible for how Humana will unlock new markets, position products vs. competitors and effectively price products
Lead the creation of market facing product story and materials. Partner with sales and account management to increase utilization of the product portfolio
Required Qualifications
8 years in product management
5 years of experience in developing, executing and managing transformational clinical or health care products
Proven record in developing clinical strategy, vision and roadmap
Ability to drive significant transformation
Solid track record of driving solutions that achieved clinical and financial outcomes
Competence working on very large and most complex assignments
Strong ability to drive cross functional teams to alignment in the midst of ambiguity
Ability to adapt quickly and juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to comfortably and effectively communicate with a variety of business leaders from operators, to physicians, to management
Both quantitative and qualitative analysis experience, with the ability to drive to trend identification and actionable insights
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or other related fields
Desired Qualifications
2 year of pharmacy benefit management experience
1 year of mail order pharmacy or e-commerce experience
Proven experience in developing and managing P&L and equivalent operational KPIs
Experience serving Medicare and Commercial populations
Master's degree or MBA preferred
