Clinical Research Specialist','200174','Research and Academics','Washington-Seattle','Days','40 hours per week','40 hours per week','7am-4pm','7am-4pm','Monday- Friday','Monday- Friday','','','!*!Days - Full Time   The Clinical Research Specialist is responsible for providing day-to-day oversight of clinical research, including training of lower-level research staff and ensuring quality control. In addition, this job independently coordinates the operations of federally- and/or commercially-funded clinical, biomedical and/or behavioral research studies involving human subjects. Located in Seattle, WA, Virginia Mason is an internationally recognized leader in the continuous improvement of health care. Bachelor's degree in a field of science, healthcare or related discipline; or equivalent required.

CRC certification or similar professional research certification required.

Strong computer skills, including spreadsheet management and word processing, required.

Strong skills in autonomously prioritizing and implementing simultaneous research projects required.

Knowledge of federal and state research guidelines and regulatory bodies, IRB, NIH, Benaroya Research Institute at VMMC and database collection.

CPR certification required.

Healthcare Assistant Certification may be required based on position responsibilities (e.g., performing phlebotomy). Completion of: 1) Human Subjects Research Training tutorial and classes; 2) Ethical Human Research training; and 3) shipping and handling of hazardous materials training provided by BRI required within 30 days of hire.

Preferred qualifications; Master's degree; 5 years of full-time experience as a CRC II, or equivalent, including at least 2 years of experience in study management and budget creation.
