Position Description and Responsibilities:
The Engineering Services group is responsible for the maintenance, calibration, installation, and operation of process equipment, environmental chambers and critical process utility systems for a mammalian processing clinical manufacturing facility. The CMMS Administrator administers the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), to maintain calibration / preventive maintenance history of GxP production equipment for GxP laboratory instruments for the Biologics Development group in New Brunswick, NJ and non-GxP refrigerators, freezers, and incubators.
Responsibilities include generation of GxP backlog and monthly work list for calibrations, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance. Administration of CMMS which includes maintaining GxP instrument data (create new, update existing (i.e. moves), decommission), calibration / preventive maintenance schedule (new, adjustments, inactivation), work order completion (documentation of steps completed, labor, comments, etc.). Update SOP and Work Instruction for CMMS as required. . Compile metrics (backlog, number of calibrations / preventive maintenance per month, on-time vs. late), audit support. Assist in resolving outstanding backlog. Move equipment and instrumentation numbering system from tracking via manual spreadsheets to embedding in Maximo database. Open/Plan / Schedule / closeout work orders
Position Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Sciences (or equivalent scientific degree). Three to five years of pharmaceutical experience - specifically using a CMMS (preferably Maximo) to track calibration and maintenance activities. Familiarity with manufacturing and analytical instruments used in GMP operations preferred. Effective oral and written communication skills with attention to detail. Ability to work cooperatively with small and large teams. Willingness to learn new skills.
