We seek a highly motivated, detail-oriented research scientist with broad experience in the application of genomic tools to understanding disease biology. Experience in cancer genomics is preferred, but not required. The scientist will be a strong contributor within the Oncology Discovery Biology group and work closely with Discovery Genomics and Proteomics. The position will be part of an integrated team dedicated to understanding the mechanisms of cancer resistance to therapy. Primary responsibilities will include various genomic and transcriptomic assays, new technology implementation and technology development­.

Responsibilities

· Design and implement genomic assays in support of various research projects, including single cell and spatial transcriptomics techniques.

· Coordinate collaborative efforts across multiple teams and initiatives.

· Optimize existing genomics methods or develop new protocols.

· Maintain lab notebooks, compiles data, and detail written experimental instructions.

· Mine published research works to support experimental efforts.

Requirements

· The successful candidate will have either (1) a M.S. in Molecular/Cell Biology, Genetics or Biochemistry or (2) a B.S. in Biology, Genetics or biochemistry with at least 2 years of relevant scientific lab experience with an emphasis on applied genomics.

· Broad hands-on experience in molecular biology methods relevant to genomics.

· Experience in advanced cell and molecular biology technique is essential.

· Ability to communicate effectively and manage projects.

Preferred

· Experience in library generation and associated methods.

· Familiarity with data analysis and data interpretation.

· Experience working with FFPE and clinical samples.

· Expertise in cell separation technologies such as FACS/Microfluidics.

· Extensive people and project/matrix team experience, with demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
