The WW Medical, Hematology, Markets Lead will play a critical leadership role in linking the regions and countries with WW Medical, Hematology by representing the regional viewpoint in interfacing with home office stakeholders and sharing information and strategy with the countries.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Ensure communication to the WW Medical teams regarding Major market and Intercon market level disease context and key strategic medical issues for the markets

Provide a high level of medical/scientific and strategic expertise to ensure market understanding of; medical strategy, integrated brand data generation plans, and of key communication and education concepts.

Interprets WW outputs for the markets to ensure appropriate understanding of context and to drive effective local execution

Partner effectively with the cross-functional partners such as the Major and Intercon Business operations lead, Commercial Major Markets and Intercon Lead, and team to develop and maintain a seamless regional/WW interface

Develop with Medical Affairs Excellence dashboards for deliverables and communicate appropriately on a regular basis

Foster both informal and formal cross-functional and geographical collaboration

Promote a culture of innovation, constructive challenge, team spirit and accountability within the Major Markets and Intercon hematology disease area leads

Establish relationships with key opinion leaders, physician groups and professional societies and utilizes those relationships to strengthen BMS image, competitive position, and performance

Skills/Knowledge Required:

BS/BA required; advanced scientific degree preferred. 4 years of experience in Pharmaceutical industry with relevant industry experience (Medical Affairs, technical developments, healthcare environment, regulatory and health care reform concerns and working with external partners).

Broad knowledge of hematology

Experience working with and understanding of global environment and key markets

Experience in a customer-facing role with thought leaders and key customers preferred

Highly organized and motivated individual possessing excellent communication (written and oral), presentation and interpersonal skills

Influence Across Matrix – Skill in identifying, building and maintaining key relationships across the enterprise and leveraging those relationships
