This role will be responsible for managing the People Development Strategy across Strategic Sourcing & Procurement at BMS. This includes managing and modifying a Professional Development process that is efficient and effective at evaluating and developing talent within BMS Procurement. Additionally, this role will assist with the identification and implementation of key technologies that support talent management.
The role will support the process to ensure effective coaching and mentoring constructs are available to all SS&P resources and that effective monitoring and feedback processes are in place and communicated to the entire function. From a target-setting perspective, this role will work closely with Associate Director to communicate and implement KPIs and metrics that measure progress across the professional development domain (i.e. competency development, retention, performance, etc.).
This individual will be demonstrate the ability to embrace change and assist with the facilitation of organizational change as it relates to professional development using leading change management practices.This role will be responsible for managing the People Development Strategy across Strategic Sourcing & Procurement at BMS.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Manage and implement SS&P People Development Strategy:
Talent Development
Lead and implement a Professional Development process that is repeatable and meets the needs of the entire GP function
Manage the yearly process to make sure all people managers fulfill their duties related to development
Assist in the creation of the development of the competency skills tool for SS&P. Provide support to maintain competency skills tool. Manage change across SS&P related to Professional Development
Focus areas include:
Leadership Development
Competency Development
Coaching and Training:
Implement training programs (SCM, Contracting, Procurement Operations, Supplier Diversity, mentoring, etc.)
Maintain and work closely with appropriate areas to understand other training networks in BMS for info and best practice sharing
Manage competency framework and provide training for SS&P.
Research, analyze and present to Associate Director, benchmark data on training, best practices, trend analysis, etc.
Coordinate, manage and implement business partner relationship training
Provide coaching for the development of personnel
Assist manager in the activities related to development of talent
Strategy Development & Maintenance:
Manage strategic plans and objectives around people development within SS&P. Maintain short and long-range objectives to support learning initiatives across the GP organization
Assist with the analysis of changing skill sets, identify gaps and make recommendations to senior management on plan forward
Maintain both an ongoing education and change management plan for the BMS community in conjunction with upgrades to spend modules
Participate in the industry skills benchmarking efforts and development of outside network groups for best practice sharing
Key Stakeholder Management:
Manage all appropriate key stakeholder relationships to ensure SS&P objectives are met
Assist with the management of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement relationships to ensure SS&P objectives are met
Organization Management:
Participate in the enabling the evaluation of staff competencies against role requirements within SS&P
Assist in coaching and developing staff leadership and functional competencies
Technology Strategy & Utilization:
Manage change management & training requirements for the relevant suite of spend strategy modules
Assist with the change management and training support for all technology upgrade plans
Qualifications:
B.S./B.A.
Minimum of 6-8 years of business experience
Minimum of 5-6 years of multi-disciplined procurement experience, or related category domain experience or relevant experience
Minimum of 1 year Pharmaceutical Procurement experience, or working directly with Pharmaceutical Procurement teams or relevant experience
Experience leading and participating on cross-functional and/or global teams
Managerial experience including managing teams of senior professional and managers and establishing performance expectations
Internal stakeholder management, data/information management, category management, process redesign and continuous improvement expertise, project management and performance measurement skills
Procurement process knowledge, contract management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier diversity, supplier management, technology utilization, strategic planning and integrated supply chain experience
Preferred Qualifications:
M.S./M.B.A.
Professional certifications (e.g. CPM, CPIM).
3 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience
Membership in Professional Associations, e.g. ISM
