The CenterWell Retail Pharmacy Manager, Technology Solutions devises an effective strategy for executing and delivering on IT business initiatives. This leader works within specific guidelines and procedures; applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems; receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules and goals. As a key partner to our operational team, the Manager, Technical Solutions is responsible for all aspects of software (vended and custom built) or hardware product delivery and performance from strategy through implementation of pharmacy application platforms and technology solutions.
The successful candidate will have a passion for leveraging their strategic and technical expertise to solve complex business problems in an inclusive and iterative delivery environment. Understanding the importance of team engagement, they will inspire, coach and foster a focus on collaboration, contribution and continuous innovation.
Responsibilities
The Manager, Technology Solutions acts as a liaison and collaborates with the business and functional stakeholders to identify and deliver strategic enablement solutions. The CenterWell space this leader will cover consist of 45-50 small retail/hospice dispensing sites that serve the public through both retail store sites and courier delivery. Partnering to ensure each site is fully operational and able to best serve the changing needs of the customers is key to this role. Candidates should have experience managing vended applications, working with remote infrastructure teams and navigating technical decisions when new capabilities are identified as necessary.
In this role, decisions are typically related to resources, strategic approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area. Requires cross departmental collaboration and conducts briefings and area meetings; maintains frequent contact with other leaders across the department. This leader will:
Engage with key stakeholders across the organization to create and execute upon capability roadmaps ensuring technology needs are being met for both short-term and long-term needs. Leverage data do evolve the roadmap and driving continuous improvement that excels our consumer experience.
Lead new technology exploration by engaging with internal team members, architects and industry leaders to provide direction on what emerging IT technologies are available to meet our business needs.
Forward thinking, able to provide input to highly complex decisions, gather diverse ideas from stakeholders and influence others to engage in continuous innovation to increase speed to market and drive for differentiated solutions.
Bring passion of building flexible, scalable, and resilient technology solutions and champion this to the team.
Own the delivery of the capability from end to end including the engagement and direction of vendor technology partners.
Build technology expertise both inhouse and by engaging 3rd party resources to deliver upon technology enablement. Understand skillset needed to build a team with the right mix of technical skills and business knowledge to deliver reliable, high quality and innovated solutions leveraging SAFE Agile.
Encourage innovation, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork and self-organization.
Key to this role is the ability to communicate well with various levels of team members including leadership. Successful candidates will possess the ability to guide others through decision making process, identify risks and communicate them appropriately to stakeholders and collaborate across various teams driving others to meet project objectives and milestones.
Candidates will have the ability to learn the business, understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
5 or more years of technical experience
2 or more years of leading technical engineering teams including management of a delivery team and applications
Experienced people leader focused on building a diverse and passionate team
Track record of results-oriented delivery and ability to deliver upon operational excellence and capability enablement
Experience with agile development and strong DevOps culture.Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Work-At-Home Requirements
All Humana associates approved for the Home or Hybrid Home/Office work styles are required to self-provide wireless, wired cable or DSL access to the internet at the connectivity speeds required by the company to successfully perform their job with the exception of associates who live or work from home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Connectivity requirements are detailed below.

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended to support Humana applications, per associate.
Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership.
Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
