Responsibilities:


Perform analytical studies to support formulation and process development of parenteral drug products, both biologics and small molecules.
Develop fit-for-purpose analytical methods (e.g., electrophoretic-based and chromatography-based) for sterile drug product development.
Evaluate and implement new technologies and instrumentation (e.g., automation) to support operational excellence and improved work efficiency.
Participate in characterization, investigation, and trouble-shooting.
Review technical documents, data, reports and protocols to assure technical merit, accuracy and completeness.
Maintain/initiate strong collaboration with partner groups.
Proactively provide clear, timely communication of potential issues to management.
Present scientific data, hypotheses, and conclusions at internal and external meetings.
Champion safety in the lab.


Qualifications:


PhD with 0-2 years, or MS with 5 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, or related areas.
Demonstrated skills and proficiency in liquid chromatography (HPLC/UPLC) and/or capillary electrophoresis (iCIEF, CE-SDS, CZE) techniques including theory, operation, maintenance, and trouble-shooting.
Hands-on experience in developing analytical methods for proteins and/or small molecules.
Familiarity with biophysical techniques, including MFI, FlowCam, DSC, and DLS, is a plus.
Experience in mass spectrometry is a plus.
Hands-on experience in resolving technical issues with a collaborative mindset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal, are required.
Ability to work independently and deliver results within project specific timelines.
Ability to effectively interface and collaborate with multi-discipline teams in a highly-paced analytical laboratory environment.
Foster innovation demonstrated by a solid publication record.
