Weekend Pharmacist | Edinburgh | Part Time | Saturday & Sunday
Spire Edinburgh have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to join their established and friendly team. This role is perfect for an experienced Pharmacist looking to gain hospital experience. This is a busy and varied role where the successful candidate will work across both Edinburgh sites (Murrayfield and Shawfair Park).

This role will mainly involve Saturday and Sunday shifts in order to support the increasing service. Please only apply if you can commit to these hours.

Murrayfield hospital was established as a purpose-built hospital in 1984, conveniently located in the west of Edinburgh. In 2015 our consulting rooms had a £1 million refurbishment. In 2010 we opened Shawfair Park Hospital, a day-case facility, based in southeast Edinburgh. Each of our hospitals practices some of the most advanced treatments supported by the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means we offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading-edge surgical procedures and cancer care.

Duties and responsibilities
The Clinical Pharmacist will help facilitate the daily running of the Pharmacy Department.
Provide a safe and effective medicines management service to all patients, staff, consultants and customers.
Provide an efficient pharmaceutical service for both inpatients and outpatients.
You will ensure timely and accurate charging of medicines.
Provide advice and clear instructions to patients that require discharge medication.
Ensure compliance with all appropriate regulatory, professional and best practice frameworks and be a proactive member of the hospital's pharmacy team.
Who we're looking for
Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate well with a range of people at differing levels across the hospital
Experience of dispensing medicines and experience of medicines management in a hospital or retail setting
Adaptable to various settings (this role will involve work on the wards, in oncology as well as inpatients and outpatients).
