As we continue to prepare for the upcoming launch of products to help meet medical needs, Celgene (a wholly owned subsidiary of Bristol-Myers Squibb) is looking for a Senior Manager-level professional to oversee Pricing Analytics for our CAR T franchise .
As Senior Manager CAR T Pricing Analytics, you will support the preparation of launch pricing strategies and lead their implementation from a Pricing & Market Access (PMA) perspective. The successful candidate will work closely with product PMA strategy leads, cross-functional colleagues (especially Commercial but also Business Insights and Finance) and affiliates, beginning 12-18 months pre-launch and extending through the product lifecycles.
The Senior Manager develops and manages pricing tools and conducts price impact simulations so that decision-makers are well informed of the consequence of PMA decisions at launch and across the product lifecycle.
The novel nature of CAR T products requires focus on managed entry agreements (MEA) and order-to-cash revenue management. This role supports business planning (short-, mid-, long-term) and ongoing operations (e.g. price reviews, (re)negotiations, International Reference Pricing), in close collaboration with Affiliate PMA teams.
The product scope includes liso-cel and ide-cel in their lymphoma and multiple myeloma indications, as well as any future indications within each product's development plans. The geographic scope is major markets ex-US, including Western Europe, Canada and Japan - other markets are indirectly supported through the Intercontinental PMA team (Due to international price referencing, other EU markets will be considered in specific analyses).
To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical P&MA, ideally in the areas of Hematology / Oncology (or extensive experience in Immunology or other innovative / complex treatments).
Responsibilities - Your day-to-day will encompass:
Developing Pricing Frameworks, Launch Sequence and Price Targets
Based on the pricing strategies from the Worldwide Pricing Team and with Affiliate input, develop a pricing framework to govern list, net and average selling prices, with strong analytics and rationale for price targets, market clusters and MEA options (including evaluation of pricing for early access programs)
In collaboration with the Pricing Excellence team, determine the optimal launch sequence for a new product or indication, considering achievable prices in each market, volume forecasts and price referencing rules
Supports setting of annual List price/ASP targets and ensures performance tracking via KPI reporting/dashboards.
Monitoring and Analyzing Competitive Pricing
Monitors CAR T pricing dynamics in lymphoma and multiple myeloma markets and analyses how competitive prices impact product prices at launch and over time
Maintains a database of competitive prices and pricing structures to understand list, calculated net and ASP prices, considering MEA and other market factors including key price-setting variables (e.g. patient population, clinical data, duration of therapy)
Tracks launches and price changes of competitive products across major markets
Estimates product net prices based on her/his knowledge of country pricing systems and the relationship between HTA assessments and product prices.
Provide Affiliate Pricing Support
Together with Affiliate PMA teams, produces and reviews business cases for PMA and senior management decisions, particularly in the case of price exceptions
Assesses impact of price changes across markets and makes recommendations where alternative options are feasible
Ensures regional price forecast accuracy and alignment with affiliates
Ensures accuracy of price certificates for affiliates
Ensures that affiliates are using correctly the price management software and following the right price approval process
Ensures data accuracy within the price management software.
Skills/Knowledge Required - To be a suitable candidate for this role, you must have :
Understands and can communicate pricing 'language' to experts and non-experts
Mastery of price types and price waterfalls across channels
Able to monitor prices for company and competitive brands at all levels
Mastery of international reference pricing HTA and other factors that impact price setting, and keeps abreast of developments in these areas
Strong analytical skills and excellent at Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Price Management systems very helpful
Strong knowledge of or direct exposure to PMA stakeholders (e.g. national agencies, insurers, regional or hospital payers) at national and sub-national level
Has above-country experience and perspective in PMA or a Finance & Business Planning role
Excellent business English (written and verbal).

The role is also expected to contribute on an ad-hoc basis to Pricing and Execution initiatives outside of the specific product and therapy area.

Please note for this role, travel is required for 10-20% of the working time (both within Europe and international)
