Description

The Proposal Development Professional 2 curates content and collaborates with business partners, subject matter experts and community-facing teams across the enterprise to build a strategy and translate that into comprehensive, winning proposals. The Proposal Development Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities

The Proposal Development Professional 2 is primarily responsible for managing the response to state or broker issued RFPs/RFIs, including full-scale project management, written narratives, and production necessary for final external delivery. Scope of work includes pre-bid strategy build, capture management, proposal submission, follow-up and finalist presentations, protest consideration, and post-award debrief/competitive intel gathering. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures. Proposal coordinators may specifically be required to direct the layout, formatting, design, and presentation of proposals. Proposal coordinators must have experience reading and analyzing requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for quotation (RFQs). Candidates need to possess exceptional organization, grammar, proofreading, and spelling abilities. They must also be able to work in deadline-driven environments and work with teams to complete projects.

This person will be the proposal coordinator to work with the technical writers and manager to ensure the proper coordination with stakeholders.

Role Essentials


Bachelor's degree or equivalent
3-5 years of technical writing experience within an RFP process
Project Mgt experience
The ability to translate technical information into non-technical language
Experience presenting to internal stakeholders
