Description

This position will report to the VP of Specialty Pharmacy within Humana Pharmacy Solutions. It will lead a team of approximately 60 sales associates- leaders, field sales agents, and telephonic sales agents.

Responsibilities

The Market VP, Specialty Sales is a key role in enabling HPS's Specialty Pharmacy growth strategy. This executive leader will leverage targeted geographic analysis and develop strategies to engage with Physician offices to influence physicians to route patients' prescriptions to Humana Pharmacy for fulfillment. The Market VP, Specialty Sales requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and/or enterprise-wide. This leader will develop Sales Strategy, organize supportive resources, and focus on sales incentives to ensure annual sales targets are met. This leader also is responsible for retaining and growing a team that is capable of educating providers and their staff on HPS benefits, to ensure growth in referrals. The leader requires an in-depth understanding of Specialty Pharmacy Growth, sales, and process improvement to ensure HPS can take benefit of substantial growth opportunities.

This role also is in charge of maintaining strategy to ensure simplicity for Physicians to refer patients to HSP, regardless of HPS membership status. This role requires a candidate who is agile, innovative, and prepared to handle complex sales management, and reporting operations. The Market VP, Specialty Sales will be required to support several different processes to educate Providers. This includes a background in leading initiatives that include Digital Marketing, Mailings, and telephonic outreach. Being effective in this role requires a natural aptitude for building strong, trusting partnerships across the organization. This position requires a hands-on, self-motivated, smart and emotionally intelligent individual who thrives in a fast-moving, dynamic environment within a complex and fast-changing industry. This role serves on the HPS Leadership Team and acts as the liaison between the organization and other internal and external businesses.

Responsibilities:


Designs and develops sales plans for generating approximately 65% of HPS's new Rx Revenue annually
Supports the design and evolution of other Specialty Pharmacy revenue streams
Partners with other Specialty Pharmacy teams (Sales Support, Operations, Strategy, Growth) to ensure excellent provider and member experience
Contributes as part of the executive leadership team in strategic planning to achieve mission, vision and our business goals
Organizes supportive resources and sales incentives to ensure Annual sales targets are met
Leads strategy to develop and grow positive, long-term relationships with physicians, providers and healthcare systems in order to support and grow provider experience and advocacy
Provides breakthrough to any roadblocks, resolves issues and escalates where needed
Provides senior medical leadership and direction for HPS in areas of Specialty Sales
Manages budget, develops and communicates the vision, business plan, and annual goals for the Division to ensure alignment with overall strategic direction
Collaborates with other senior leaders to identify opportunities for improvement and new programs, technologies and strategies that improve operations across the care continuum


Required Qualifications:


Requires a Master's Degree or Bachelors with equivalent experience
8 or more years of Management experience
10 or more years of proven Sales experience
Prior experience leading a Sales team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partnering business segments
Knowledge of 340b and other payer-agnostic strategies


Preferred Qualifications:


Prior Pharmaceutical industry or Pharmaceutical Sales experience
Prior experience in Specialty Pharmacy
Prior leadership of a National sales team
