Medical Equipment Sales Jobs description

A medical equipment sales representative’s primary role is to promote and sell medical equipment like surgical devices, implants, imaging and radiotherapy equipment, etc. to hospitals, private practices, and retail suppliers. A medical equipment sales representative generates new and repeat business by maintaining existing accounts, prospecting for new clients, and networking throughout the medical equipment industry. A medical equipment sales representative maintains contact with customers, develops technical expertise and sales proficiency, stays informed about new products and technologies, transports medical equipment safely, and submits regular sales reports. A medical equipment sales representative also presents in-services, seminars, and demonstrations for physicians. A medical equipment sales representative develops and manages dealer/distribution networks within his or her territory, performs cost analyses for users, and provides regular reports on all market activity. A medical equipment sales representative keeps abreast of competitive product and pricing information and maintains a reputation for making exceptionally effective sales presentations.

A medical equipment sales representative position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. A medical equipment sales representative should have two to three years of sales experience in a relevant field. A medical equipment sales representative should be able to absorb specialist product knowledge and should possess effective presentation, communication, computer, and negotiation skills.
